‘The average household in the UK produces more than a tonne of waste every year. Put together, this comes to a total of 31 million tonnes per year, equivalent to the weight of three and a half million double-decker buses, a queue of which would go around the world two and a half times.’

We need to get more creative and try to be more sustainable in what we buy and use in or daily lives. Here are some images from a book which shows the range of things that you can do with palette wood and reclaimed wood in a series of 4 scenes based around the chairs found in them. the scenes include a cinema, an office, a bar and a bathroom.
The range of items made from the scrappy wood were all made very quickly over the course of three days, which goes to show that you can archive a lot with a little.
Though the smaller objects don’t have much of a function in the real world, it highlights the possibility within the materials around us.
