Photography, Filming & Workshop Assistant
I photographed workshops and other events taking place over the two weekends of Make Lewes Festival using my 35mm portrait camera, capturing the small hands on, community festival atmosphere. Lake Lewes is a community organisation that promotes the exchange of knowledge in the fields of making, architecture, design & sustainability. // Working alongside felting artist Barbara Keal and local potter Martin Brockman, I assisted in workshops with people of all ages, helping with felting unique, hand made patches onto Barbara’s felt gown and making beads and small pieces of pottery from local materials, fired in a wheelbarrow with locally sourced wood for Martin’s workshop.// I filmed many inspiring talks from architects and change makers from around the world who came to Lewes for the festival, the video’s will soon be accessible on vimeo for all to access as an open resource.
